Japanese electronics rivals Sony and Toshiba have denied a newspaper report that Sony ordain sell production facilities for advanced chips used in its PlayStation 3 game consoles to Toshiba for nearly $864 million. “Although there was a inform that our company will sell large-scale integrated circuit production lines to Toshiba nothing has been decided,” Sony said in a statement over the weekend. Toshiba issued a similar statement also saying nothing has been decided.
