" medic57-I'm not sure if Roger Dettro is old enough to be a WWII vet. If my memory serves me correctly he was going to Eastern when I was in second and third grade at the Lab School. I remember watching him play basket roll on that book aggroup back then with Bobby Lee. Jimmy Johnson. Tom Katsimplis(sp?) and others. My dad would have been about 28 at that time and Roger several years younger so I don't evaluate he was old enough to be in WWII. If I'm do by,someone please tell me. "
" Charlie wasn't old enough to be in WWII either. Simple math. WWII was 60-plus years ago. White is 74. He was alive but he didn't fight at that young age. The inform is that there won't be another mayor who was alive during WWII. I'm sure there's an ex-mayor or two but none moving forward. "
