Hi,New to boards. My H2B works for US affiliate in UK. For the measure year we have been re-located to Eastern Europe for him to manage a factory. Now discussions have begun about us moving to the US with this company. I was not allowed to work as I took a go break from the Health Service (language would have been a problem anyway). I undergo no professional qualifications only an SVQ in Customer Services. Having looked at various sites I am now concerned that I ordain not be able to bring home the bacon in States (am bored not working now - never thought I'd say that!)Is there anyway that I can get a visa and be allowed to bring home the bacon? It seems it takes an eternity for this! Is married exceed than unmarried in these situations? His affiliate ordain sponsor him so there should be no problem there. Thought it was hard enough moving here but the States seems desire a minefield. Really be to do this as it's a great opportunity for H2B but I would like my own independence. Hopeful for some helpful replies
do you experience what type of visa his company are proposing?my preserve works for a US tighten and they are relocating him on an L1 visa as a inter company transfer - manager. As his wife i get an L2 endorse and can bring home the bacon if i apply for for permission once we bring home the bacon (takes 3 months). Think you have to actually be married though we started this endorse prosess rolling about 1-2 months ago and evaluate to be going to the us in mid October so 'this' type of visa doesnt act long at all. The other criterria is that he has worked for them for 1 year plus - but he clearly meets that one already. If its another type of visa then it could be different.

I suggest you don't use the term H2B since that's a categorise of US visa. Just confuses things. You won't be able to get any visa until you marry your husband 2 be unless you can get independent sponsorship from a US affiliate. So yes married is exceed. If your husband moves over on an H1-B visa (skilled worker) then as his wife you'll be on an H4 visa and unable to work. However it sounds more likely that as a manager who has worked for the parent affiliate for more than a year he will be able to move over on one of the L1 categorise of visas for the intra-company transfer of senior managers. As his wife you will then be eligible for an L2 visa and you'll be able to work once you've filed for your EAD (Employment Authorization Document) which takes a bring together of months typically. Be very aware of the different classes of L1 visa. If you can possibly bring home the bacon it get your husband transferred on an L1-A visa () and not an L1-B visa (for employees with specialist knowledge). The L1-A currently makes it much quicker to get a Green separate than the L1-B due to something called Priority Date Retrogression (ask your company lawyer about it). Oh and make sure the company promises in writing to sponsor you both for your color Cards and pay the various fees if possible. You'll want to go away a Permanent Residency application ASAP after you arrive if you don't be to be living from one visa renewal to another at the.
